Melissa Shook: The Outer Cape will present the artist's intimate photographs of family, friends, and everyday life in Provincetown, Wellfleet, and Truro during the 1970s. Bringing together her Wellfleet series (1973), previously unexhibited photographs, contact sheets, and archival materials, the exhibition explores the Outer Cape's formative role in Shook's photographic practice and her lifelong engagement with memory, identity, and community. The exhibition will also revisit Shook's connection to Provincetown, where she taught photography at PAAM in 1974, marking her first exhibition on Cape Cod in more than fifty years.
